Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran Story | Plot | Synopsis
Produced by Bollywood’s Mr charming John Abraham and seeing him in the lead role against Diana Penty, Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran, will uncover one of the most significant chapters of the Indian history. Depicting the happenings around India’s first nuclear test, conducted back in the year 1998, in a place named Pokhran in Rajasthan, the film encompasses some lesser known facts about the operation by Indian Army. Blended well with the awe-inspiring imagination of the Director Abhishek Sharma, the film brings alive a fantastic account of the country’s first nuclear test that went immensely successful. The other prominent characters in the film - Boman Irani and Zachary Coffin - put together an engaging docu-drama. The nuclear explosion was carried out in India when Dr APJ Abdul Kalam was the President of India. One of the most captivating elements in the film is that it celebrates some of the unsung heroes of the mission. It also, meanwhile, reveals some of the loopholes and failures encountered during the test explosion. All said and done, the nuclear experiment brought India among the list of world’s most prominent nuclear power countries. So, the film ends on a happy note. Slated for a release on May 25, Parmanu will engage the audience rightly given its relentless action sequences. The film’s starcast, especially, the hero-heroine duo have managed to bring enough excitement among the audience - adorning the army uniforms. Both John and Diana have played the part of Army officers in the film remaining the eye candy throughout.
The film, originally scheduled for a release in December 2017 has faced several postponements, surpassing conflicts and competition. Leveraging the new craze for patriotism among Indian directors, Parmanu has managed to pre-empt several other leading directors in the spree. Apart from presenting the happenings during the test, the film also briefly touches upon how the country came down to the decision of emerging as a nuclear country and who were the people involved in the decision-making, and hurdles they faced. So, you are good to watch this now!
